Hi, I’m Damian Miller.
When I was 14, I experienced my first miracle. Growing up in a religious family, I had heard about miracles, but on that summer day in 1994, I witnessed a truly powerful transformation for the first time. I watched in awe as a girl, who had been phobic of heights ten minutes prior, rappel down 120-foot cliff, willingly and confidently. This was a miracle to me because on our way up to the cliff, she was shivering, shaking, and crying. The cause of this transformation? Hypnotherapy. My rock climbing teacher had hypnotized her and helped her to overcome her fear.
Witnessing first-hand someone being cured of a phobia by hypnosis was a pivotal moment in my life. Soon thereafter, I began to devour everything I could on hypnosis. I read everything I could get my hands on, and I asked my teacher to show me what to do.
I am still fascinated by hypnosis. As I build my practices in Santa Monica I continue to study and expand my horizons with new teachers, methods, training, seminars, workshops. I hold certifications from Bucks County Community College and the Institute of Hypnosis Sciences, and I am also certified under the American Council of Hypnotists Examiners.
Hypnosis allows me to tap into my natural strengths and passions: the desire to help people, my ability to be present and listen, and my creative problem-solving skills. I’ve helped people quit smoking, lose weight, settle emotions, and gain focus and personal power.
I believe in our ability to heal ourselves. I believe that, within us, we each have everything we need in order to be well, healthy, and vibrant. Through hypnotism, the power of engaging the full self - speaking directly to the great self that lies beneath the surface I help my clients realize the power within themselves.
Highest Certification through ACHE

The ACHE is the primary organization that has been responsible for the recognition and regulation of
hypnotherapy training in the USA. This organization is a state-chartered, non-profit professional corporation that has established standards for specialized education and maintains standards of practice and a code of ethics.
In addition, the A.C.H.E. provides examinations for hypnotherapists who have met the qualifications for specialized education, training, and experience. Successful completion of the written and practical demonstration examination before a Designated Examiner and signing the A.C.H.E. Code of Ethics leads to certification.
For examination and certification by A.C.H.E., a Hypnotherapist must be trained in a school approved by the A.C.H.E. The A.C.H.E. only approves schools that have programs of at least 200 hours of training in hypnotherapy that is almost entirely in the classroom.
Certification as a Clinical Hypnotherapist requires not less than 300 hours of training that is almost entirely in the classroom. It is the highest level of certification awarded.
The A.C.H.E. has developed a membership in over 40 countries throughout the world. Graduates of approved schools are eligible to receive certification and, if they provide hypnotherapy services to the general public, are considered to be professional hypnotherapists. Also, our membership includes many professionals in the health and counseling fields who have integrated hypnotherapy into their practices after receiving training at A.C.H.E.-approved schools.
A New Hope Hypnosis
Hypnosis is by definition "Bypassing the conscious critical mind and implementing selective thinking."

What that means to me is choice. No matter what your history gives you, hypnosis is a way of creating a new happy, healthy, effective you. By modeling the thinking of successful people, by speaking to the subconscious mind in a way that it understands, and by giving it the proper instructions and creative workspace we grow and change, for good.
At A New Hope Hypnosis Damian Miller, Certified Clinical Hypnotherapist has worked with all different types of clients to create wonderful results. From adjunct medical / dental hypnosis, to personal development, relationship development, fears / phobias, addictions and more. I invite you to come and learn what hypnosis can do for you. Consultations are free. Please come and meet with me and discuss your goals.

Damian Miller, 31
Hypnotherapist
The student settled into the dentist's chair as if getting ready for a nap.
And he was, in a way. Before the technician begins fiddling with needles and drills, the dentist's hypnotherapist, 31-year-old Damian Miller, begins to suggest away the fear. He gazes, in a friendly way, into his patient's eyes and speaks to him softly. Fawzan al-Fawzan's eyes close. Miller touches the student's jaw - hopefully it's gone numb. Then the dentist's team administers anesthesia.
A soft-spoken man with steady blue eyes that probe more than pierce, Miller has just established the Philadelphia Hypnotherapy Clinic (Wolf Building, 12th and Vine). He hopes to bridge the rift between mind and medicine by becoming the region's first full-time medical hypnotherapist.

People get addicted to painkillers, rely on insulin, or have allergies they temper with drugs. These are problems hypnotherapy can help, says Miller, who was inspired by a teacher to follow his unusual career path.

He explains: "A science teacher of mine took me rappelling when I was 14 years old. A girl in the group was terrified of heights, but after he did some magic with her she went right off the cliff."

At 15, he started hypnotizing his friends. He says, "I never stopped learning and for every paper in school I ended up trying to write about it and research it."
He was certified through Bucks County Community College and apprenticed at a hypnotherapy dentist's clinic in Oklahoma City. His training took him under the tutelage of a stage hypnotist in Bristol, England, a city he says reminded him of Philadelphia. Now he builds his reputation ...
